2026 Long Beach Municipal Band - “Picnics & Pops” Concerts

Join in the delightful sounds of the Long Beach Municipal Band, celebrating its 117th season! This year’s theme, Picnics and Pops, celebrates Long Beach’s iconic history, culture and community through popular hits across the decades. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. Bring blankets, chairs and picnic style dinners and snacks and enjoy an evening of free live music in Long Beach Parks! 

Tuesdays: Whaley Park North – June 23, June 30;
Bixby Annex Park – July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28  

Wednesdays: Los Cerritos Park – June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29  

Thursdays: Larry Curtis Concert Park at Marine Stadium – June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30  

Fridays: El Dorado Park West – June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31

Week 2: “America the Beautiful: A Musical Tribute” – Honoring the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence and celebrating the spirit of community and country! From the triumphant sounds of “Stars and Stripes Forever” to the elegant grace of “America the Beautiful,” this performance uplifts and unites families, friends and neighbors to share in a timeless tradition honoring our nation, its history and the people who make it strong.  

Tawanda Suessbrich-Joaquim joins the Studio Band with her rich, expressive vocals that blend classic jazz traditions with contemporary influences.
